Figure drawing "Ruffian" was selected for display at the Oak Park Art League. This juried national call (Jurors: Susan Hall and William Ewers) sought to showcase a diverse spectrum of work based on the human form, yet pushing the boundaries of how we depict ourselves and the bodies we inhabit.

Honorable Mention, POSE! at Oak Park Art League Exhibit.
Only artist under the age of 18 displaying work (honorable mention selection without knowledge of artist's age).
Awarded an honorable mention—total of 5 awards were given, 30 artists total were displayed.
Youngest award recipient in the gallery's history.

Assignment: Make something that restricts your body, something that extends, restricts, or encourages movement and explores how you interact with others.

Artist Description: Inspired by Japanese culture, made from cardboard, wood, paint, and beads, this piece echos traditional kasa hats and their cultural symbolism. Shapes hanging from the brim look similarly to homes, boats, and shrines which reflect memory and movement, exploring how culture is carried and preformed.
