(VOLUNTEER) ASSISTANT TO ART THERAPIST
Assisted in distributing art materials to art class serving people with intellectual/developmental disabilities.
Observed art therapist-led activities.
3 hour-long classes attended and observed.
CSS provides support annually to over 1000 children, adults and seniors with intellectual/developmental disabilities and their families. We provide services in west suburban Cook County and eastern DuPage County.
Oak Park Area Arts Council–Off the Wall

ARTIST APPRENTICE
Working in a team under a master artist, planned, designed, produced and installed mural on exterior of local senior services building Longfellow.
20 hours per week, 8 weeks.
Off the Wall is a youth employment program in which young adults age 16-22 apprentice with master artists to design, construct, and install mosaic and bricolage murals in Oak Park and neighboring communities. The program began in 2005 and has since overseen the installation of over fifteen large-scale murals. The program is a great opportunity for young artists to engage in meaningful and enriching employment which provides experience and benefits the community.

Employed by 6-8 families a year to care for up to 3 children at a time, ages 4-11.
SafeSitter and CPR certified.
Highly engaged and active with children.
